日本生活学会設立趣意書
Charter of the Japan Society of Lifology
人間のいるところ、かならず生活がある。 1972年9月29日 設立 Where
human beings are, there is always life. Human
history is the history of life. However, human life is facing a crisis.
Because of the self-evident nature of what we think life is, it is rare that
we make it a focus of study and a theme of systematic intellectual
exploration. Our proposed Lifology is nothing less
than an attempt to objectivize and theorize life. As far as possible, Lifology is a critical study of life. At the same time,
we want to keep holding on for as long as possible to trust and love in the
human possibilities being developed in our lives. Thus, Lifology
leads to a movement of advocating life. Discovering humanity in life, gazing
at life through this humanity, and through this gaze, exploring the meaning
of “living” as a human being – this is the standpoint of Lifology. Based
on this purpose, we establish the Japan Society of Lifology
as a new academic venue for studying life that traditional research
categories have not apprehended. Established
